About Me
Hi, my name is Toan Nguyen and I am a student at Rancho Alamitos High School, class of 2013. My birthday is January 2, 1995. I have two sisters and an older brother. An interesting fact about me is that I work at Baskin Robbins. Also, I compete in Track and Fields for Rancho Alamitos. A word that best describes me is hardworking. I put a lot of efforts into my work, and I am proud of it. My aspiration is to become an orthodontist, because smiling makes life more meaningful and worthwhile. I am optimistic about my life and the future. I influence my classmates to take their schoolwork seriously. I am simple-minded and easily fascinated. When someone shows me something, I will give them my full attention. I enjoy going to Huntington Beach to body surf, and I especially enjoy hiking or skiing on Mountain High.
My Goals
My goals for the summer is to pass the class with an A in order to complete a year of visual and performance elective. In addition, I am preparing myself for the AP courses that I will take next year. I plan to create a web-page that I can share with my friends, family, and future employers. This October, I will take my driving test at the DMV; I hope to pass the first time. My long terms goals include becoming a better writer and acing the SAT exam. I hope to write clearly and to the point. Junior year is an important year for me. I need to study for the SAT exam in May and apply for scholarships.
Things I enjoy
Places I enjoy hanging out include: 85C Bakery Cafe located in Irvine, Volcano Tea House, and the library. The library is a good hideout from the heat-- I often surf the web for hours in the library. It is also a good place to study after school. I also enjoy going to 24 Hours Fitness to swim in the pool or to lift weights. I go there to release stress, and after workout I would treat myself at McDonald. I prefer white chocolate, online shopping, staying up late, white and blue colors. For me, barbecued food is always better than pan-fried food. I also prefer to speak English even though I can speak Vietnamese fluently. I enjoy using new words that I learn from reading or my friends. For example, I feel "swoon" when I learn a new word.
Hobbies and Interests
In my spare time, I like to play the piano and watch my favorite Disney Channel shows such Wizard of Waverly Place and Suite Life on Deck. My favorite sport is badminton because I get to trick my opponent. I am excited when I have a new challenger; I would set aside my plans to play a game. I also like to karaoke with my friends; in fact, I like to start a karaoke club at my school. I am not a great singer, but I like to karaoke because I can sing the lyrics aloud. After singing, I would be thirsty and go to drink smoothie to quench the thirst.
